At Chez Doris, our mission is to provide essential services and support to vulnerable women in Montreal. This coming September, from the 20th to the 22nd, we are excited to participate in the Beneva Marathon de Montréal, the largest running event in Quebec. This event is not only a sporting challenge but also an incredible opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the women we help and to generate vital funds to continue our mission.
WHY WE RUN
Our participation in the Beneva Marathon is motivated by several key reasons:
– Raise awareness: Participating in this event allows us to raise awareness about the difficulties faced by women in precarious situations and to promote our mission.
– Fundraise: The primary goal of our participation is to raise funds to support the essential services we provide to women in precarious situations. Every dollar raised helps us offer shelter, food, clothing, and various support programs to those in need.
– Run as a Team: To show our support and appreciation for our dedicated employees, Chez Doris covers all registration fees for team members who participate in the marathon. This initiative reflects our commitment to employee well-being and our belief in the importance of physical activity and community engagement. By encouraging our employees to join the marathon, we aim to strengthen unity and team spirit.
