Chez Doris is pleased to announce the phased reopening of its day shelter at 1430 Chomedey Street, operating from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, starting Monday, December 11, 2023. As before the pandemic, both vulnerable women in housing and those experiencing homelessness will benefit from free breakfast and lunch.
To address the growing needs, we have expanded the number of dedicated seats for women during mealtimes from 50 to 85. The changes made to our service offerings aim not only to assist women experiencing homelessness but also to provide direct support to those living in housing and facing financial precariousness. Our actions align with a strategy to prevent homelessness and reduce vulnerability.
During this festive period, we have also organized a series of celebratory activities to support our clients, offering them an opportunity to break the cycle of isolation.
