Montréal, March 18, 2024 – The Board of Directors of Chez Doris is very pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Pilote as the organization’s new Executive Director. Diane joined the Chez Doris team nearly six months ago to oversee the organization’s growing operations. She had been Interim Executive Director since February 29, following the departure of Marina Boulos-Winton.

As the coming months provide an opportunity for Chez Doris to focus on expanding its activities, this appointment comes at an important time in the history of the organization, which for almost 50 years has been providing services to vulnerable women in precarious situations. Having enhanced its service offering with the addition of housing centres, the organization has seen an increase in demand and a need to adapt to this. Chez Doris now aims to strengthen its operational activities and stabilize its internal processes to support sustainable growth. This strategy will enable the organization to respond more effectively to the growing needs of women experiencing homelessness or vulnerability.

“Diane brings proven expertise and a dynamic vision to the organization’s leadership. Her extensive experience in optimizing operations and implementing efficient systems will be essential in strengthening our foundations and ensuring long-term sustainable growth. Her arrival will also breathe new life into our activities, and we are confident that donors will remain by our side to support our important mission. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to reiterate our full support for Diane in this new mandate,” enthuses Carole Croteau, President of the Board.

“I’m honoured and feel very privileged to be able to take on this role at Chez Doris. The challenges are great, and I’m convinced that I can contribute to the growth and success of this organization, which is so essential for countless women. I accept this mission with great enthusiasm. I’m looking forward to working with the entire team to make this organization a benchmark in support and accompaniment for vulnerable women and experiencing homelessness,” says Diane Pilote, Executive Director.

The Chez Doris Foundation and its Board of Directors would also like to express their gratitude to Marina Boulos-Winton for her considerable work and sustained efforts over the past 10 years to support and develop the organization, which have contributed significantly to its success.
